My Favourite Quotes To Live By

My Journey of Yoga is a very personal one, it involves me in child’s pose with tears running down my face as the teacher spoke with such beauty on a quote that hit home to me. I can not remember word for word and i have been unable to find the original source but it went like this…

“Imagine a life with out the need to control, strip away all the technology, all the people, all the “stuff” and what are you left with? this earth, the breeze, the sun, the moon, this moment. And in this moment how would you feel?, how would you act? how would you walk? and what would you do with out all the “stuff”.

In that time of my life all the “stuff” from working in a highly stressful job, being in a relationship that didn’t fulfil me, and going a million miles an hour and not knowing what the present moment even felt like. hearing those words stuck a cord inside of me and it gave me the nudge to change.

1. Quote On Acceptance and Being in The Moment:

“If you choose to see everything as a miracle, then where you are right now is perfect. There is nowhere to run to; there is nothing else to do except be in this moment and allow what is to be. From that place of radical acceptance, major change can happen. The first step in any transformational experience is acceptance and surrender to the present moment, the way that it is. From that place we have the awareness, humility and power to change what is.” — Mastin Kipp

2. A Quote To Help You Learn From The Haters:

“In the practice of tolerance, one’s enemy is the best teacher.” – Dalai Lama

3. A Quote That Reminds Us To Laugh:

“A day without laughter is a day wasted.” – Charles Chaplin

4. A Quote To Follow Your Heart:

“let your heart be silently drawn to a strange pull of what you really love, it will not leave you astray” – Rumi

5. A Quote That Will Blow Your Mind On The Blame Game:

“All blame is a waste of time. No matter how much fault you find with
another, and regardless of how much you blame him, it will not change
you. The only thing blame does is to keep the focus off you when you
are looking for external reasons to explain your unhappiness or
frustration. You may succeed in making another feel guilty about
something by blaming him, but you won’t succeed in changing whatever it
is about you that is making you unhappy.” – Dr Wayne Dwyer

6. A Quote That The “F” Word Is Key:

“Forgiveness tears down the ego’s walls of separation and reunites us as one. The anger and fear of the ego’s illusion disappear. There’s no more “he said, she said.” It all just lifts. It feels as though chains have been removed and you’ve been set free from a lifetime of terror. Why continue rehearsing the role of victim when you could be free and happy?” – Gabrielle Bernstein

7. A Quote To Encourage You To Radiate:

“Consider that you radiate. At all times. Consider that what you’re feeling right now is rippling outward into a field of is-ness that anyone can dip their oar into. You are felt. You are heard. You are seen. If you were not here, the world would be different. Because of your presence, the universe is expanding.” – Danielle LaPorte

8. A Quote That Fear is Not Reality:

“I’ve learned that fear is simply an illusion based on past experiences that we project into the present and onto the future.”- Gabrielle Bernstein

9. A Quote On Relationships:

“Whatever relationships you have attracted in your life at this moment, are precisely the ones you need in your life at this moment. There is a hidden meaning behind all events, and this hidden meaning is serving your own evolution.” –Deepak Chopra

10. A Quote Thats Perfect Whole And Complete

“In the infinity of life where I am,All is perfect, whole and complete,I no longer choose to believe in old limitations and lack, I now choose to begin to see myselfAs the Universe sees me — perfect, whole, and complete.” -Louise L hay
